It's already 8 days into 2018 and I'm only just now getting a chance to write a recap post about 2017!  My goal in the beginning of 2017 was to photograph even more sessions and events, mainly weddings and engagements, but that changed about halfway through the year...  In June 2017, Andrew and I found out we were pregnant - Yay! :)  I knew that I could continue photographing for at least a few months, but I didn't want to book any weddings in the early 2018 timeframe, so I put marketing and pursuing wedding clients on hold for the time being.  I was still happy and eager to do engagements and other small sessions, so that's what most of my year consisted of.  Additionally, I was accepted as a volunteer photographer for The Gold Hope Project, which provides free portrait sessions for pediatric cancer patients to bring awareness to childhood cancer and provide funding for a cure <3 

In 2017, I was not only blessed to get pregnant, but fortunate to photograph...

Although 2017 wasn't as busy with weddings and photo sessions as I initially hoped it would be, I know 2018 will make up for that...  Even though it may be "busy" in a completely different way -- having a BABY (and, of course, taking lots of photos of my very own precious little one)!!!  I plan to take some time off in early 2018 and get back into photography for clients in late spring.

My goal for 2018 is first and foremost to bring a happy and healthy baby into the world, and hopefully for Andrew and I to get the hang of parenting our little girl somewhat quickly!  I have one wedding booked for September, and I look forward to meeting many more couples and families throughout the year!
